Priyanka said that the Central government failed to deliver oxygen to its citizens.
Priyanka Gandhi (born 12 January 1972), also known by her married name Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, is an Indian politician and the general secretary of the All India Congress Committee in charge of Uttar Pradesh. She is the daughter of Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, sister of Rahul Gandhi, and granddaughter of Feroze and Indira Gandhi, making her a member of the politically prominent Nehru-Gandhi family. She is also a trustee of Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.
Early life and education
Priyanka Gandhi studied at the Modern School and Convent School. She obtained a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi,[1] and later a master's degree in Buddhist studies in 2010.[2]
Career
Gandhi had regularly visited her mother's and brother's constituencies of Rae Bareilly and Amethi where she dealt with the people directly.[3]

In the 2004 Indian general election, she was her mother's campaign manager and helped supervise her brother Rahul Gandhi's campaign.[6] In the 2007 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, while Rahul Gandhi managed the statewide campaign, she focused on the ten seats in the Amethi Rae Bareilly region, spending two weeks there trying to quell considerable infighting within the party workers over seat allocations.[7]
On January 23, 2019, Priyanka Gandhi formally entered politics, being appointed the Congress' General Secretary in charge of the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh.[8] She has to still prove herself in the political battleground of Uttar Pradesh which remains a strong hold for Bhartiya Janta Party.[9] Her contributions so far doesn't seem to have had any effect in its electoral fortunes and moreover she has stayed away from party headquarters and party workers for months.[10]
Personal life
She is married to Robert Vadra, a businessman from Delhi. The wedding took place at the Gandhi home, 10 Janpath, on 18 February 1997 in a traditional Hindu ceremony.[11][12] They have two children; a son Raihan and a daughter Miraya. She follows Buddhist philosophy and practices Vipassanā as taught by S. N. Goenka.[13][14]

Stating that there is an 'oxygen emergency' in Uttar Pradesh amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Sunday advised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to recognise the seriousness of the situation and immediately start working for saving the lives of people.
Adityanath, in his previous statement, warned those who are spreading rumors about oxygen shortage in the state and said properties of those spreading rumours of oxygen shortage will be seized.
Reacting to this, Gandhi tweeted: 'Chief Minister, there is oxygen emergency all over Uttar Pradesh. You have to put a case on me, seize the property, so do. But for the sake of god, recognise the seriousness of the situation and immediately start the work of saving the lives of the people.'
Earlier in the day, Adityanath informed that an order for one crore COVID-19 vaccine doses has been placed for the third phase of the vaccination drive beginning May 1.
Taking to Twitter, Adityanath said, 'Uttar Pradesh government has placed an order for 1 crore doses of anti-COVID vaccines for the vaccination drive beginning May 1.
'An order of 50-50 lakh doses has been placed for both indigenous vaccine manufacturers. In addition, the dose will be made available by the Government of India. A comprehensive action plan is being prepared in this regard,' he added.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has directed officials that hospitals, where COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment, should make public the details of availability of beds twice a day.
